Licensed Content Agreement and Best Practices

  • Always include a deeplink from the licensee directly to the licensed content’s URL, not a link to our website homepage or blog page.

  • Include a rel=canonical tag on the page with the licensed content. Doing so will illustrate to search engines that we are the original content creator.

  • Add a noindex tag to the header of your page in which our content lives. The content will still be available to your readers, but the licensed content will not be crawled.
